Gateshead Borough Council
We’re making a positive difference in Gateshead by partnering with Gateshead Borough Council through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund. Through this collaboration, we’re worked on 2 impactful projects so far, Teams Life Centre and The Drop In, to enhance vital community spaces and provide local young people with valuable trade skills.
These renovations are not only transforming key facilities, but also helping to empower young people in the area. By taking part in these projects, NEET and at-risk young people are gaining hands-on experience, accreditations, and the confidence to move into future employment opportunities.
Here’s a look at the progress we’ve made so far.

Teams Life Centre
Teams Life Centre, the home of Dunston Family Church, is a community hub providing a range of sports and social activities for all ages and abilities.
As part of our work with them, we’ve redecorated the Sports Hall and added venue-inspired artwork, created in collaboration with local artists and community members. These updates aim to revitalise the hall, making it more welcoming and accessible for local groups and events.
The project will help enhance the centre’s role in the community, encouraging greater use of this vital space.
The Drop In
The Drop In youth centre provides a space for young people to engage in various activities, fostering personal development and community involvement.
We helped to enhance the outdoor space by constructing large 8ft by 3ft planters and building an outdoor shelter. This project will enable local community groups to come together, grow, and harvest their own vegetable produce, encouraging sustainable practices and creating a space for shared learning and cooperation.
