Ebbw Vale Junior FC
About the project
Ebbw Vale Junior Football Club is the largest grassroots club in South Wales, with the clubs including six established girls’ teams and a pan-disability team. They also host the Welsh disability torments that have representation from the Wales Deaf Nations team and are a partner of the Autistic Society.
Ebbw Vale Junior Football Club holds the Welsh Horse and Dog Show and the Cwm Carnival within the grounds. It’s a hub for the Cwm and wider community with 400 members, providing a safe and stable place for our next generation of children to make lifelong friends and enjoy football.
VIY will rip out and refit a new kitchen and worktops giving the kitchen a fresh new look. It will allow the venue to cater to more service users and private hire. We will also paint the front of the building and the kit room, plus add new storage.
Impact
The project will make the venue more appealing to current members and encourage new members, especially women/girls. It will allow the venue to cater to larger groups and private hires and will increase revenue and support the sustainability of a much-needed club.
